HELP WANTED – Warren County

Warren County Department of Information Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Programmer II.

This is a technical position with responsibility for programming involving 1) data gathering
and analysis of method and procedures; 2) design recommendations in the form of user proposals,
operational instructions and computer program specifications and implementation, and 3) support involving
systems testing, user training and special projects.

SALARY: $ 60,104 (2022 Base)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, systems analysis, database
management or closely related field, OR
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with
an Associate’s degree in computer science, computer programming, systems analysis, database
management or closely related field and two years (2) of fill-time paid experience (or its part time
equivalent) in computer programming or in the analysis and design of computer-based
information systems; OR
C) Four (4) years of full-time paid experience in computer programming or in the analysis and
design of computer-based information systems.

The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made
with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment
following establishment of eligible list.
