The Town of Queensbury NY government is governed by an elected five member Town Board which consists of the Town Supervisor and a Councilperson from each of four Wards. The Town of Queensbury provides numerous services to citizens, businesses and visitors.

Water Plant Operator Trainee
Has responsibility during an assigned shift for the actual operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant and does related work as requested.
Pay: $28.50/hr
Schedule: 40 hour week, Mandatory OT and Shift Work apply
Acceptable Experience and Training:
A NYSDOH Grade IIA or IA Water treatment Plant Operator’s license is desired but not a requirement.
An Associates degree is desired but not required.
We are looking for an individual with a chemistry, microbiological or mechanical background.
High School Degree or GED required.
This is a competitive civil service position and filling of position is subject to Civil Service Rules.
