Pathway of Hope Case Manager

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Pathway of Hope (POH) Case manager will be responsible for the provision of intensive case management services to families with children under the age of 18, who are living in generational/chronic poverty. This position requires individuals to work with families in their homes and in the community. Additionally, this program will work with at-risk youth in individual and group settings.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
• Bachelors Degree in Human/ Services Field
• Minimum of two years of experience in Social Services Field
• Relevant experience in serving children and families in child welfare, crisis situations, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, primary health care, or social services
• Experience coordinating and participating in team settings
• Solid writing and verbal communication; good documentation skills.
• Work effectively and knowledgeably across a broad spectrum of cultural, ethnic, and racial communities
• Ability to work in an effective and focused manner when self-directed and beyond immediate oversight
• Ability to deliver family-driven, youth-guided services
• Knowledge of community resources and counseling/social work practices with high-risk populations.
• Requires computer proficiency including word processing skills and the ability to provide culturally competent practice
• Must have valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements
• Must have regular access to a vehicle to provide home visits and outreach services

Anti-Trafficking Director

The program director will lead efforts to implement an anti-trafficking intervention for youth and young adults in Saratoga/north country area as well as provide direct services to survivors of trafficking and their caregivers. The position will also include community education/awareness activities, outreach, and community engagement with law enforcement, faith-based community partners, public child welfare departments, and community based agencies.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience with trauma informed care
• Have an understanding of the issue of domestic and foreign human trafficking
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Professional communication skills, verbal and written
• Meet required background checks
• Mandated Reporter successfully completed

Children’s Ministry Coordinator

The Children’s Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the organization and execution of the children’s ministry programming at The Salvation Army, including the After-School Program (ASP), the Read to Succeed program (R2S), and Sunday ministry opportunities, as well as the recruitment, vetting, and training of volunteers for children’s programming. In addition, the coordinator will hold a part-time case load for the Care Management for children in the corps’ programs.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.

• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission AND ministry
• Associate degree (A.A.) and at least two years’ experience in relative work preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Mail Merge and PowerPoint as well as Google Forms
• Experience in program development
• Able to learn current literacy techniques as taught by schoolteachers
• Strong interpersonal skills and good rapport with children
• Applies tact in diplomacy with internal and external constituents
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable in high profile situations as well as with “sleeve rolled up”
• Ability to operate independently – self-motivated, self-management
• Highly organized
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
