Dennis & Co. Auto Group, Inc, located in Greenwich, NY, operates a major automotive dealership network in the Metropolitan New York region with a diversified portfolio of 14 brands across 10 locations, including Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Kia, Volkswagen, Ford, Buick, GMC, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Chevrolet, and Cadillac. The group also owns and operates a used-only dealership and two collision centers.

We are currently looking to fill the following positions: BDC Representative (Call Center), Diesel Technician, and Service Advisor. Details for these positions can be found below.

BDC Representative (Call Center) – 2 positions available, full-time, salary+commission

     Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment preferred
  • Enthusiastic and friendly demeanor
  • Proven experience at building relationships and working in teams.
  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance
  • Tenacious yet professional follow up on customer inquiries
  • Background in sales helpful but not required
  • Bilingual preferred

     Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls in a professional manner and set appointments for prospective clients.
  • Manage a high volume of customer inbound calls and re-route to the appropriate team member.
  • Identify customer needs and resolve concerns
  • Log customer information into the dealership’s computer database and follow up accordingly.

Diesel Technician – full-time

     Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Diesel Mechanic or Technician
  • Driver License (must be able to pass MVR Check)
  • US Work Authorization
  • 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Diesel mechanic training is provided as well

     Responsibilities

  • Repair diesel equipment
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance on diesel equipment
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
  • Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer

Service Advisor – 2 positions available, full-time

     Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Typing speed 38 wpm
  • Clear and polite speaking voice
  • Prior call center experience helpful

     Responsibilities

  • Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
  • Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
  • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and prepares work order for needed repairs.
  • Prepares a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
  • Write a brief description of the customer’s concern regarding the repair order to help the technician
  • locate the problem.
  • Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
  • Handles customer complaints.
  • Schedules service appointments.
  • Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refer to test
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Obtains customer’s signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
  • Establishes customer’s method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
  • Notifies dispatcher of incoming work.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Implements and maintains a service marketing program.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Keeps service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up to date.
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
  • Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed and provides an estimate for body work.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
